About the Company Our client is a growing and well-established organization in the Tarrytown area seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team. Position Overview The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, assist with month-end close, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and looking to build a strong foundation in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Prepare and post journal entries

Support month-end and year-end close activities

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Support audits and provide requested documentation

Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

0–3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome!)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP a plus)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct)

Internship or prior experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
