Job Title: Molding Operator

Job Duration: +12 months with possible extension

Job Location: Mebane, NC 27302

Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description:

Summary of the Position:

Operates machines to produce products, ensuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in-process measurements, and quality product. This is done while ensuring that all safety rules are strictly followed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Read job specifications from the Production Record to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

Observe machine operation and make adjustments as needed.

Take samples of products and perform in-process testing.

Perform all required checks and document activities, maintaining all required documentation in accordance with Work Instructions.

Assist the Set-Up person to set up the machine, empty baskets, and clean and prepare the machine for changeover; also assist with the actual changeover.

Notify the Lead Operator when issues occur with equipment or product and take responsibility for correcting issues affecting product quality.

Spread product as required.

Assist with cleanup and other production duties as needed.

May perform other reasonable, related business duties.

Required:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or lab settings

Nice to have:

Troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting machinery experience.
