Golden Crookstem might be the most captivating bamboo because of its tendency to have some canes that zig-zag at the base, adding an architectural interest. Also appealing is the way that new canes develop with a tinge of burgundy coloration, especially in sunlight. Gradually the canes become a deep golden color with cascades of dark green leaves. Golden Crookstem is robust, withstanding strong winds and cold temperatures. It is the hardiest, most adaptable bamboo with golden canes.
