Pharmacy Technician, Washington

Friendship Hospital for Animals is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic pharmacy technicians to join our expanding team. A successful candidate would be dedicated to providing accurate and efficient dispensing of medication, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be adaptable to a dynamic workload. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will provide excellent service to our clients and assist our Pharmacist and Veterinarians in the delivery of exceptional medical care to our patients.
All schedules will require Thursday 2 pm – 10 pm, Friday 2 pm – 10 pm, Saturday 12 pm – 10 pm and are full time with benefits.

Requirements
Participate in the team with a positive attitude
Assist in the filling process of prescriptions as ordered by our veterinarians by safely and accurately processing, packaging, and labeling medications
Process refill requests for patients made via voicemail or email
Prepare controlled substances and other medications for in hospital use
Understanding of commonly used medications and basic medical math
Maintain accurate logs and reporting
Aide in the training and mentoring of all assistants and junior technicians.
Provide compassion and excellent client care to the owners of our patients.
Participate in continuing education and actively work to increase skill set. Work toward certification within an agreed upon timeframe if not already certified.
Generate solutions for problems or challenges in the department.
Other duties as assigned

compensation based on skills and experience.
