Dunbar Security Solutions is hiring a Retail Security Officer to support store operations by helping maintain a safe, professional, and customer-friendly environment. This position works closely with store personnel to monitor daily activity, assist with loss prevention efforts, and respond to security-related concerns as they arise.

This role is best suited for someone who remains alert in fast-paced environments, communicates professionally with the public, and can balance customer service with security responsibilities.

Primary Duties

Maintain a visible presence throughout the retail location during assigned hours Observe customer and employee activity to help reduce theft, policy violations, and safety concerns Respond to door alarms and verify receipts or purchases when appropriate Perform scheduled walkthroughs of sales areas, entrances, exits, and surrounding exterior spacesReport suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, or incidents to store leadership and supervisors Prepare accurate incident reports and shift documentation Support store staff with safety-related concerns and operational issues Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner when needed Follow company procedures, site guidelines, and retail security protocolsCarry out additional responsibilities assigned by management Basic Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain attentive and professional during active shifts Dependable attendance and punctual work habits Comfortable working in a retail environment with frequent public interaction Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftPreferred Background

Previous experience in retail security, customer service, or loss prevention Familiarity with incident reporting or observation documentation Experience working in fast-paced customer-facing environments Work Setting
