We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator Machinist / Welder to join our team. This role involves operating lathes to shape metal (and/or wood, if applicable), as well as performing welding and metal fabrication tasks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in precision machining, capable of reading technical drawings, and committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities: Operate manual and/or CNC lathes to shape and finish metal components Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to specifications Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality Maintain equipment and ensure proper machine setupFollow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines Qualifications: Proven experience as a lathe operator, machinist, or turner Welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick preferred—specify what you need) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and precision Knowledge of machining tools, materials, and safety standards Relevant certification or vocational training (preferred) Work Environment: Hands-on industrial/shop environmentRequires standing for extended periods and handling heavy materials Company Description Our clients always make us smile when they say“we only want to work with you, Staffing Specifix.” This means we have served them exceptionally well-On Time, Every Time.
