Accounting Manager
CFS is partnering with a well-established, operationally complex organization in the Chelsea area to identify an experienced
Accounting Manager
to lead day-to-day accounting operations.
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with two days per week required in the office.
The
Accounting Manager
will oversee core accounting functions while remaining hands-on in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
Review financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing day-to-day guidance
Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
Partner cross-functionally with operations and finance leadership
In this role, the
Accounting Manager
will balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution, ensuring timelines and quality standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior people-management or supervisory experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close ownership
Experience in a complex or operationally driven environment preferred
The
Accounting Manager
should be comfortable owning outcomes, managing deadlines, and supporting both the team and the business.
Compensation & Work Environment
Salary range:
$95,000–$120,000
, based on experience
Hybrid schedule with
