Responsibilities

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provides rapid, accurate and courteous handling of telephone calls, paging, FAX messages, emergency communications, CCTV programming, patient calls to the nurses, alarm lines and Fire Management Systems operations.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Essential: sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking; lifting usual weight of 1/2 pound up to 2 pounds; pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 1/2 pound up to 3 pounds; reaching at and above shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions; frequent gripping of an object.• Frequent: twisting body and reaching below shoulder level. • Operates operator console, computer, telephone, pneumatic tube system.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. • Work environment sometimes stressful due to handling of emergency calls.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:• High School diploma preferred.

B. EXPERIENCE:• One (1) year telecommunications experience. • Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
