Logistics Coordinator, Texas

Clayton Services is searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning shipments, monitoring their progress, and preparing all necessary documents and meeting regulatory requirements.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $25.00-$35.00/hour

Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

Manage international logistics (air and ocean freight)

Update the schedule with the current packing slips

Request and book inbound container shipments

Find ways to keep costs low by utilizing multiple freight companies

Receive quotes from multiple companies to keep costs as low as possible

Verify container load plans before shipment

Confirm what needs to be shipped

Book outbound container loads

Verify the cost per container

Complete invoices

Keep the team updated on the delivery status

Verify pickup numbers for inbound shipments

Maintain and update spreadsheets and paperwork

Organize air and ocean freight

Other duties as assigned

Logistics Coordinator Skills and Abilities:

Logistics Coordinator Education and Experience:

An associate's degree is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Previous experience in logistics coordinating international freight (ocean) and imports is required.
