Quality Control Inspector in Premium Threading and API Threads East Houston, TX | Contract-to-Hire New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a

Night Shift Quality Control Inspector

for a manufacturing client located in

East Houston, TX

. This is a

contract-to-hire opportunity

.

Pay $19– $22/hour Starting rate is based on experience and performance during hands-on shop evaluation

Schedule Morning&Night Shift Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, weekends, and up to

7 days per week if needed

Summary Responsible for accurately and thoroughly performing quality control inspections on incoming material, work in process, and finished products to ensure compliance with

premium and API thread specifications

. This role requires hands-on inspection experience, strong knowledge of MRP gage set-ups, and the ability to verify dimensional tolerances and pressure integrity using industry-standard inspection equipment.

Responsibilities Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on all orders Perform

MRP gage set-ups

for

premium and API threads Conduct re-gages with third-party inspectors as required Locate, interpret, and utilize

premium thread and API specifications Locate and use

Mylar overlays

for premium connections Correctly utilize

Mic-Trac

and operate the

contour tracer Perform phosphate testing, including

titration level, weight, and bend tests Utilize all applicable inspection, measuring, and test equipment per work instructions Verify acceptable dimensional tolerances and pressure integrity Meet Level I and Level II QC requirements and assist with training lower-level inspectors as needed Maintain accurate inspection records and documentationOther duties may be assigned

Qualifications Must be able to

read and write Minimum of 6 months of relevant industry experience Must be able to pass a

pitch diameter and ovality test Premium threading experience preferred Experience performing

MRP and API inspections

strongly preferred Ability to locate and interpret technical specifications and overlays Must be able to demonstrate competency toward

MSF 6.1-23

, as applicable Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as required
