/ph3Job Summary/h3ulliInteracts with partners (client partner and common carrier representatives) to ensure superior levels of customer service/liliMaintains a safe work environment at all times through management of others/liliSupervises the day-to-day operation of assigned work groups to ensure that all partner and Capstone Logistics requirements are met and implemented effectively/liliAssigns tasks to associates in a fair and equitable manner/liliHandling of freight as required, meeting company standards and timelines while maintaining a safe work environment/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulli1-2 years of supervisory / leadership experience in an industrial setting/liliProven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external partners.
/liliAbility to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates/liliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)/liliStrong organization and prioritizing skills/liliAbility to simultaneously perform multiple tasks/liliAbility to solve problems and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment/liliIntermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint/li/ulh3Principal Accountabilities/h3ulliEnsure partner needs are met on a daily basis/liliDocument and resolve any customer service or associate issues daily and report them to the Regional Director or Director as requested/needed.
/liliEnsure all associates follow Capstone Logistics policies and work rules including Capstone safety work rules/liliHold weekly safety meetings and ensure associate participation/liliScheduling associate shifts based on partner requirements/liliAssist with the interviewing, orientation and training of new associates/liliDock level negotiation of rates with common carrier representatives/liliSupervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed/liliComply with all administrative reporting and financial policies and procedures/liliAbility to complete daily closeout, including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll record administration according to Capstone Logistics policies and standard operating procedures/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliStanding and /or walking for extended periods of time in warehouse environment (concrete flooring and changing temperatures)/liliAbility to lift 50 lbs.
/liliComputer data entry.
/liliAbility to function in cold and hot weather environment.
/liliAbility to be certified to operate manual or powered material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner/li/ulh3Education and/or Experience/h3ulliAssociate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
College degree is preferred.
