Clerical Assistant

Under direct supervision, perform basic clerical duties including but not limited to the following: Answer telephone, handling multiple lines. Handle routine office inquiries. Use word processing software. Assist with on-campus registration. Operate office equipment such as computer, copier, fax, typewriter, and calculator.Refer students to appropriate person or department. File correspondence and other records/documents. Type correspondence and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts. Provide support to other areas as needed. Maintain inventory of office supplies, orders maintenance/repairs for office equipment.Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience: One (1) year experience in an office environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good written and oral communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to alphabetize.
