Job Title: Inspector Job Description

This role focuses on performing precise mechanical inspection of aerospace parts and assemblies using a variety of measurement tools. You will help ensure that components meet strict aerospace quality standards and comply with industry certifications, supporting a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities Perform detailed mechanical inspection of aerospace parts and assemblies using calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, height gages, and other precision tools. Verify that parts and assemblies meet specified dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements in accordance with aerospace standards.Apply knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9000 quality management systems while conducting inspections and documenting results. Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate measurement and evaluation of parts. Conduct quality control and quality assurance checks throughout the production process to identify nonconformances and potential issues. Perform QC testing and record inspection data accurately, maintaining clear and organized documentation.Calibrate and verify measurement tools to ensure accuracy and reliability of inspection results. Communicate inspection findings clearly through written reports and verbal updates to relevant team members. Use basic mathematics, including algebra and geometry, to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and other inspection-related values.Troubleshoot and resolve inspection-related problems by applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Handle and move parts and equipment safely, including lifting items up to 35 lbs as needed during inspection activities. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and consistent product quality.Essential Skills

At least 5 years of aerospace inspection experience. Hands-on experience working with ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality management systems. Proficiency using mechanical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and height gages. Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Knowledge of basic mathematics, including algebra and geometry, for performing measurements and calculations. Excellent oral comprehension and written communication skills for documenting and conveying inspection results. Demonstrated quality control and quality assurance experience in a mechanical or aerospace environment.Solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with aerospace parts and assemblies. Ability to perform QC testing with attention to detail and high accuracy. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs safely as part of daily duties. Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to identifying and resolving issues.Additional Skills&Qualifications

Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Familiarity with modern inspection equipment and tools used in precision manufacturing. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
