Senior Java Developer – Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead the development of strategic reference data platforms. This role involves full SDLC participation—design, development, testing, deployment—and mentoring junior developers. The ideal candidate will provide technical and architectural guidance while collaborating with global teams, business analysts, production support, and infrastructure groups.

Key Skills:

8+ years of Java development (Core Java, Spring Boot, JDBC, Collections, Multithreading)

Strong SQL/PL-SQL skills (Oracle)

Cloud-native microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Redis

App servers (Tomcat/WebLogic), Kubernetes

Unix, shell scripting (Korn)

Tools: Git, JIRA, SonarQube, uDeploy, Artifactory, TeamCity

Solid knowledge of OOP, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field

Preferred:

Agile/Scrum experience

NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis), frontend frameworks (Angular/React/Vue)

Exposure to Scala or functional programming

Financial domain or reference data experience

Data modeling (physical/logical)

Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver development projects within scope and timeline

Guide and review junior developer contributions

Collaborate across teams to improve architecture and performance

Provide level 3 production support
