Please feel free to share your updated resume at Title: Senior Automation Controls Engineer / PLC SME Location: Dallas, TX Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Controls Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in Allen Bradley PLC systems and industrial automation equipment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in troubleshooting, optimizing, and improving automation systems to support manufacturing operations and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve complex Allen-Bradley PLC programming and control issues. Provide technical leadership as a senior SME for automation and control systems. Analyze existing automation equipment and manufacturing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability. Understand automation equipment design, functionality, and integration within manufacturing environments. Evaluate current equipment designs and recommend redesigns or enhancements based on client manufacturing needs and production goals. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and client teams to implement automation improvements and process optimizations. Support commissioning, debugging, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure automation solutions meet safety, quality, and operational standards. Required Skills&Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting. Deep understanding of industrial automation systems and manufacturing equipment. Proven experience serving as a senior-level technical SME in controls and automation. Ability to diagnose programming, electrical, and controls-related issues efficiently. Experience reviewing equipment designs and recommending modifications for improved manufacturing performance. Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, sensors, drives, and industrial communication protocols is preferred. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work directly with clients and cross-functional engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
