divh2Production Lead/h2pThis position is primarily responsible for monitoring production workflows by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
/ppThis role is responsible for ensuring production assembly cell is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule.
The Production Team Lead provides effective training to the assembly cell and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.
The Production Team Lead will assemble/produce personal care or nutritional products.
/pulliWork with supervisor and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
/liliExecute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
/liliUse basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
/liliReport problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
/liliWork closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse, Quality and Sanitation teams to resolve issues.
/liliObserve, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
/liliComplete lot acceptance activities for assigned assembly cell.
/liliTrack and report daily/weekly/monthly production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
/liliIdentify and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor.
/liliParticipate as an active member of the production assembly team and assembles products.
/liliFollow documented policies and procedures as designated by the companys Quality System.
/liliFollow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
/liliComplete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.
/liliMaintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
/liliAct as department communicator during status meetings, management updates, and staff shift changes.
/liliLead, train, and coach manufacturing staff to ensure requirements are met for production, fulfillment, and employee safety.
/liliMeet with all employees at the entrance of the production room to ensure they are in compliance with the cGMPs and PPE per company requirements.
/liliWork together with warehouse team to receive and verify daily production components to ensure production schedule is met.
/liliBe able to understand and follow work instructions (BOM) i.e., Fill ticket, Change Controls, Deviations, Non-Conformance Material Report, Rework instructions, etc.
/liliLearn the ERP (Deacom) system to maintain accurate inventory levels on material used for daily production runs.
/liliMaintain productions staging area with accurate materials inventory.
/liliDo daily production material reconciliation and close production paperwork within a 24-hour period.
/liliBe able to submit change controls when the information in the BOM doesnt match what the process performed at the floor level.
/liliHold daily start-up huddles with the production team to inform everyone the plan for the day and expectations based on Safety, Quality and efficiency.
/liliUnderstands and follows up daily on production KPIs.
Work with the supervisor if the efficiency is less than expected.
/li/ulpThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
/ppEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent/lili2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years experience preferred/liliExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
/liliAbility to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
/liliAbility to analyze and solve problems.
/liliAbility to work with others collaboratively.
/liliAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

/liliFood and Drug manufacturing experience.
/li/ulpLANGUAGE SKILLS:/ppAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
