CNC Machinist, Bohemia, NY

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a professional manufacturing setting.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading G-code and M-code; experience with Haas or Fanuc controls is a plus.

• Measurement: Expert ability to use precision measuring instruments.

• Materials: Experience working with stainless steel and high-nickel alloys (Hastelloy) is highly preferred.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.

• Quality Control: Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges to ensure parts meet strict QC standards.

• Tooling: Select and install appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.

• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
