Power Distribution Designer, Jackson

Our team is looking for a Power Distribution Designer to join the team!
This is a fully remote role but c andidates MUST live between Jackson, MS and South Memphis.
About the Role
The role will be fully remote doing 80% power distribution design and up to 20% local fielding.
The only overnight travel may be at the beginning for training.
Candidates must be self-motivated and have own reliable car to use for fielding.
Responsibilities
This position focuses on fielding and then creating power distribution designs (small wire changeouts, pole changeouts, etc) for a large energy client.
Training on the software will be provided.
Qualifications
Completed HS diploma
2+ years of experience in the utility industry, ideally within power distribution design
Knowledge of compatible units for the utility
Prior experience with design/work management software including, DDS, PoleForman, Maximo, GDT, etc
Required Skills
Ability to learn new design software if applicable
Reliable car, will have up to 20% field time (can be reimbursed mileage)
Great communication skills and professionalism
Be located in target areas
Able to work 80% remotely and up to 20% at field sites
Preferred Skills
Engineering or technical degrees
Any experience within utility/power industry
Prior experience within power distribution design
