This position is located at the Stone County Parole and Probation office. Journey level specialized law enforcement position serving as a lead officer who is responsible for patrolling and enforcing relevant laws within their jurisdiction. In addition, work involves assisting in the interview process of suspects and witnesses and assisting other law enforcement agencies and/or municipalities when necessary. Additionally, may be responsible for testifying in court cases regarding violations. This level is assigned full scope of lead work to include assisting in the orientation of new employees; giving direction to workers concerning work procedures; communicating, monitoring, and reviewing work in conformance to established standards of performance; and providing an informal assessment of workers' to the supervisor.What you'll need to be Successful:
Must be able to abide by the MS State Personnel Board and MDOC rules, regulations, and procedures governing the agency and ensure the safety, security, and order of the facility. Must be able to operate in accordance with state and federal laws. Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires 60 semester hours of college, possession of a State of Mississippi Law Enforcement Professional Certification and 2-4 years of experience in law enforcement.
