Preference will be given to writers based outside of the US as we look to diversify our coverage and the perspectives of our journalists, but fluency in English is mandatory. Our portfolio of entertainment-focused websites is seeking innovative, creative, passionate, and knowledgeable writers to join our team. This role is perfect for you if *You are that fan everyone turns to for information about theme parks and entertainment franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, or Harry Potter. *You understand what your fellow fans want to read about on a daily basis and can keep up with entertainment news and trends. *You enjoy critically analyzing trends and have a sharp eye for what matters in the entertainment world right now. *You are active in fan communities on social media and stay updated on whats happening in theme parks andentertainment every day. *You are eager to seek out new leads, enhance your investigative reporting skills, and think creatively to find fresh story ideas. *You are looking for a paid writing position covering theme parks and entertainment and can produce engaging content across these areas. Responsibilities (but not limited to): *Committing to 5 days a week and an average of 40 hours during the week with some weekend work, (days off are either Friday & Saturday OR Sunday & Monday). *Keeping up with the latest news in theme parks and entertainment, writing based on the demandsof the news cycle. *Staying up-to-date with news sources and social media relevant to theme parks and entertainment. *Self-motivated and proactive in seeking out new news sources and leads. Requirements: *Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a love of writing and proven ability to write quickly under tight deadlines. *Previous writing experience that demonstrates your ability to write accurately about theme parks and entertainment. *Ability to meet deadlines, including writing breaking news articles quickly and efficiently. *Excellent communication skills and ability towork well under pressure. *Actively keeping up with the latest theme park and entertainment news as a dedicated fan. *WordPress (or other CMS) experience is a plus.
