For a limited time, Cumberland International Trucks in Jacksonville, FL is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for qualified Diesel Technicians.
The maximum bonus is paid out at 90 days and 9 months.
Cumberland employees also have the opportunity to earn $2,000 for referring qualified Technicians.

We are looking for experienced Diesel Technicians who take pride in quality work, value teamwork, and want a long-term career path not just another job.
You'll earn a competitive hourly wage, plus monthly efficiency bonuses, overtime after 40 hours per week, paid training, certification reimbursement, and a yearly boot and tool allowance.
What You'll Work On
As a Diesel Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 6, 7, 8, and 9 medium, heavy, and severe-duty trucks, as well as school buses, passenger buses, and coach buses.
You'll work on a wide range of makes, models, and parts, including brands such as:
Cummins
International
IC Bus
Fleetrite
Other leading truck and bus manufacturers
Repairs may include engines, brakes, drums, shoes, hydraulics, clutches, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, steering, preventive maintenance, and more.

Responsibilities
Review work orders, assess vehicle concerns, and plan the repair process.
Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to determine repair solutions.
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace vehicle systems including suspension, steering, electrical, transmissions, brakes, engines, and related components.
Perform oil changes, wheel balancing, alignments, brake checks, and preventive maintenance.
Test drive repaired vehicles to confirm performance and quality.
Maintain accurate records of parts replaced and repairs completed.
Notify the service consultant of additional service needs and complete approved repairs.
Document repairs clearly on the work order using the three Cs: Customer Complaint, Cause, and Correction.
Return customer vehicles as clean as they were before service.
Treat customers, visitors, and dealership team members with respect and professionalism.
Follow manufacturer policies and procedures related to labor operations, time tracking, repair order documentation, warranty repairs, and torque specifications.
Provide required documentation and administrative support for warranty repair orders.
Update repair advocate and case files throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
Communicate repair status updates to the Service Supervisor before the end of the shift.
Return completed work order packets with keys at the end of each shift.
Check OEM websites for components or repairs requiring pre-approval.
Provide ECM images and completed OEM documentation in the work order jacket when required.
Tag warranty cores with VIN and RO numbers and ensure proper sign-off when cores are turned in.
Complete technical training and OEM educational requirements within the required timeframe.
Produce quality work that reflects pride in workmanship.
Keep your workspace clean, safe, and organized.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Cummins, Detroit, and CAT engines is a plus.
ASE certifications and OEM training are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Personal roll tool cart and set of tools is advised.
Team-oriented mindset with a professional attitude.
Strong commitment to customers, safety, quality, and the service team.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to obtain a CDL license.
Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements, including background check, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license verification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stoop, bend, climb, crawl, lift, reach, and work in positions required to service diesel engines, trucks, and tires.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, and moderately noisy environments.
