RdF Corporation, a leading manufacturer of temperature sensors, seeks a Quality Engineer for Hudson, NH. The Quality Engineer is responsible for continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance Program and ensuring products meet quality standards and compliance requirements. This hands-on role will oversee and maintain the company’s ISO-9001 and AS-9100 quality systems. An ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer: Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product. Monitors and supports engineering processes including design, fabrication&implementation of capital equipment at various sites. Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers. Oversees employee adherence to and education of QA Program. Assures purchased and manufactured parts and materials meet required specifications. Detects and prevents defects from occurring in manufacturing, processing, assembly, and testing operations.Analyzes processes to identify issues and implement corrective actions. Reviews non-conformances and identifies resolutions. Performs visual and mechanical incoming, in-process, and final inspection, and resistance calibration of components used in the manufacture of precision wire-wound temperature sensors.Supports continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance Program. Manages internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards, customer, and regulatory requirements. Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers, engineers, customers, and auditors.Maintains accurate documentation and records. Travels as required including support for testing, installations, training, and troubleshooting. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Quality Engineer: The desired candidate should have demonstrable and practical engineering knowledge, and be excited to work hands-on with product. Applicants should be responsible and curious self-starters who can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team. Previous experience with sensor products and
Military/Aerospace/Government
applications is greatly preferred. Hands-on familiarity with laboratory equipment&data acquisition systems. Understanding of manufacturing and process controls, including FAI and failure analyses. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects. Good communication skills. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Experience with Quality Management Systems. Education Requirements of the Quality Engineer:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution At least 2 years of quality assurance experience. This position is full-time, and offers a desirable 9/80 work schedule with alternating Fridays off.
