divh2ServiceMaster Clean Franchise Opportunity/h2pThe Cleaner/Janitor performs cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure that commercial spaces are sanitized, organized, and presentable.
This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This position is deemed safety sensitive due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employees co-workers, and/or the public at large.
/ppEssential duties and responsibilities include:/pulliPerform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures/liliPerform general cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all designated areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and break rooms.
/liliEmpty and sanitize trash receptacles and dispose of waste following facility protocols.
/liliReplenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and common areas.
/liliClean and polish furniture and fixtures.
/liliClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
/liliDust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
/liliMaintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
/liliUse appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment, including PPE, following all safety and usage guidelines as per OSHA standards.
/liliHandle and dispose of biohazard materials safely in designated areas when required.
/liliOpens and locks facilities, enables and disables security system as required.
/liliReport any maintenance issues, damages, or supply needs to the Location Supervisor promptly.
/liliTo perform any other duties within the scope of the position to meet the needs of the business.
/li/ulpEducation, experience, knowledge, and skill requirements include:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.
/lili1-2 years experience in in custodial/janitorial field/liliPrior experience working in a professional janitorial company, hotel, hospital, school, etc., preferred/liliMust have a current, valid drivers license and clean driving record/liliDrive personal vehicles to assigned building and perform required janitorial tasks.
/liliKnowledge of safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
/liliAbility to read and understand labels, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), and safety guidelines.
/liliParticipate in regular safety training sessions and stay informed of any updates to protocols or standards.
/liliHigh level of personal integrity and ethics.
/liliAttention to detail and accuracy.

/liliDue to the nature of the position, regular travel may be required between client locations.
/liliThe environment may contain high-traffic areas, requiring awareness of surrounding activity.
/liliExposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and waste materials.
/liliSome duties may require work outdoors or in areas with limited temperature control.
/liliThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
/liliThis position must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
