Join the PECNA team today!Responsibilities Summary: Perform inspections following Control Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product conformity Inspect products independently, analyze results, and take appropriate action within established guidelinesVerify calibration and proper functioning of inspection equipment prior to use Document inspection results accurately and maintain records for traceability Operate and maintain tools and equipment within functional area Performance Optimization&Continuous Improvement: Analyze inspection data to identify trends and support implementation of countermeasures Assist in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions Recommend process improvements based on inspection findings and quality data Training&Team Support: Train and mentor inspectors at the same or lower level within the functional area Support onboarding and hands-on training of new inspectors Provide feedback to supervisors on training needs and process improvements Continue to build technical skills and apply feedback for ongoing developmentCross-Functional Collaboration&Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to identify and support the resolution of quality issues in a timely manner Communicate inspection findings, trends, and quality concerns clearly to relevant stakeholders Quality, Safety,&Compliance: Support proper implementation of processes and procedures Participate in internal and external quality audits as required Maintain adherence to all quality, general plant, and company policies and procedures Uphold 6S initiatives and ensure area cleanliness is maintained to safety and operational standardsFollow all safety protocols and PPE requirements during inspection activities Education, Certifications, and Licenses: Required: High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area Preferred: Associate's degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related fieldSix Sigma Yellow Belt (or equivalent) OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour General Industry Certification Essential Qualifications: 1.5+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related role Working knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and document nonconformities Ability to work independently within defined guidelines and escalate issues as needed Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsBasic data analysis skills and familiarity with quality concepts such as root cause analysis Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of standard software (e.g., MS Office) Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to follow safety and PPE requirements Ability to meet physical job requirementsMust have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English Alignment to Panasonic's seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or inspection roles, preferably in battery, automotive, or electronics industries Progression from a PECNA Level 1 Quality Control Inspector role or equivalent experience Exposure to quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP systems Experience supporting quality audits or continuous improvement initiatives Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is required and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.
