Maintenance Tech, Big Pine Key

Big Pine Key RV is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role includes general repairs, preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, and resort upkeep. Responsibilities include mowing, painting, trash pickup, site maintenance, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, carpentry tasks, and pool operations. Candidates should have maintenance or landscaping experience, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs. are required. Primary Duties&Responsibilities Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of all grounds as assigned. Assists in all facets of resort cleaning and maintenance. This includes trash pickup, mowing and weed trimming, painting and site cleaning. Rakes, shovels, and loads material as needed relating to resort projects. Completes daily site check-ins and check-outs. Performs grounds duties as needed. Reports any unsafe conditions related to grounds and equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Management. Supports and follows Cove Communities and Big Pine Key policy at all times. All other duties as assigned. Pool Operation– CPO a plus Minor electrical repairs – change breakers, RV outlets, etc. Minor plumbing repairs – hose bibs, pipes, faucets, showers etc. Carpentry skills Knowledge of RV systems helpful Required Skills/Abilities Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to use common tools such ashammers, saws, drills, and wrenches. Ability to maintain focus while working individually. Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective long-term relationships with both guests and employees. Ability to remain calm and professional under high stress situations. Professional presentation and attitude. Strong organizational and follow up skills. Strong time management skills. Eye for detail. Analytical&creative approach to problem solving. A passion for teamwork. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Landscaping experience Experience performing routine maintenance Physical Requirements Must be able to withstand long periods of time walking and/or standing.
