Facility: Level II Trauma Center

Location: Pikeville, KY

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days

Hours: 48 Hours/Week

Job Type: Contract (Local and Travel Candidates Accepted)

Compensation:

Pay: Varies based on eligibility (local vs. travel) and years of experience.

Traveler Compensation: Includes taxable W-2 income plus non-taxable stipends for housing, meals, and incidentals.

Travel Requirements:

Must have 12 24 months of prior travel Radiologic Technologist experience.

Must reside 75+ miles from Pikeville, KY.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist (CT/MRI) Cath Lab Charge Special Procedures Tech is responsible for providing radiologic care for the diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. This role involves operating CT and MRI scan units and performing a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including assisting in the Cath Lab and Special Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and administer IV contrast and/or isotopes for procedures.

Accurately position patients and assist radiologists with biopsies or drainage procedures.

Perform and document diagnostic imaging procedures; transmit results to PACS.

Prepare patients by completing necessary documentation and educational materials.

Maintain exam prep, patient history, files, requisitions, and billing sheets.

Rotate on-call assignments and coordinate with other departments for efficient patient flow.

Maintain and manage supplies; demonstrate cost-effective use of resources.

Train and orient new employees as a preceptor.

Follow infection control, safety, and facility guidelines.

Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.

Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge of procedures and equipment in Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs.

Basic to intermediate computer skills including use of Windows OS and standard peripherals.

Ability to recognize and use various parts of a computer and standard input devices.

Keyboarding and familiarity with imaging software required.

Education & Certifications:

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.

Current Radiologic Technology Certification and Kentucky State Certification required.

Nuclear Medicine Certification and ODC certification preferred.
