AAC is currently looking for a Chief Systems Engineer to join an already high-performing team of engineers and architects. This position is a key member of the AAC Leadership Team and will be responsible for ensuring deliverable quality and mentoring engineers across all AAC business areas.

The successful candidate will:

Review deliverables for quality prior to submission to customers.

Have demonstrated expertise in requirements management; reliability, availability, and maintainability assessments;

Have demonstrated experience leading and mentoring other engineers and architects across multiple engineering disciplines

Have demonstrated expertise in DOE O 413.3B, Phase Six, or DODD 5000.01 Acquisition Lifecycle processes

This position may be performed remotely from anywhere in the continental US; however, candidates located within commuting distance of Oak Ridge, TN; Aiken, SC; or Amarillo, TX are preferred.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

A Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering Discipline

US citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

Expert interpersonal skills

Prior experience managing acquisitions programs with DOD or DOE acquisition lifecycles (i.e., DOE O 413.3B or DODD 5000.01)

Extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Logistics disciplines

Available to travel up to 50% of the time

15+ years of prior work experience showing progressively increasing responsibility

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Advanced Degree in Engineering

Prior experience within National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) laboratories and sites

Familiarity with requirements tools such as IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation and simulation packages

Professional Engineering License
