Housekeeping Staff

Responsible for the care and cleaning of guest rooms and public areas to create a welcome and comfortable place for our guests. Primary responsibilities include: Handling guest complaints concerning housekeeping service or referring problems to management Notifying maintenance of any needed repairs in all guest rooms and public spacesInspecting all vacant ready rooms at the beginning of the day for condition and possible occupancy Helping guests and employees in every way possible when called upon and doing it willingly and pleasantly Listing and itemizing lost and found items. Returning items to guests in accordance with the hotel's standardsReporting and delivering valuables found to the General Manager's office Inspecting all rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure that all hotel policies and standards have been met Approving rooms for occupancy and ensuring the room is 100% prior to placing it into the system Updating the property management system with the proper status of all roomsPracticing safe working conditions under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines to include Bloodborne Pathogens. Maintaining proper MSDS logs Providing safe chemical handling as prescribed in MSDS sheets Monitoring time housekeepers are taking to clean guest rooms Completing any other duties as assigned to ensure all guests have an exceptional experienceAll other duties assigned Requirements include: Willingness to work holidays and weekends Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend with ability to lift, push, and pullPositive attitude and excellent communication skills a must
