Piping Quality Inspector

Wood Group is looking for a Piping Quality Inspector to support our Black Bayou project. Inspect product/material and associated documentation to confirm compliance with Wood, Client, or industry specifications/codes and relevant purchase order requirements. This includes supplier sites, Wood and client worksites, and/or receipts at warehouse locations. This role is typically program or project-based.Responsibilities

• Validate inspection requirements and carry out inspection activities at worksites including suppliers, warehouses, etc. • Witness/review of testing activities in compliance with Inspection and test plan requirements. • Verification that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. weld procedures are approved, welder certification, etc.).• Review and endorsement of quality records raised as an output from manufacturing and installation processes. • Generation of inspection and progress reports as required. • Final inspection release and issue of inspection release notes. • Report any inspection deficiencies and queries tothe project quality team.• Verification that inspection test equipment is fit for purpose and calibrated prior to use. • Verification of equipment storage and preservation in line with manufacturer's recommendations. • Provide support to as-building processes and handover for completions. • Assist in auditing ofsuppliers as required.Qualifications

Qualifications:• Degree/diploma or local equivalent in quality or technical discipline (desirable) • Inspection certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g. welding/electrical/mechanical) from a recognized industry or national body (essential) • Radiographic interpretation certificate (piping welding inspectors only – desirable)• Quality auditor qualification by a recognized industry body (desirable) Knowledge, skills, and experience: • 5 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the associated industry). • Awareness of ISO 9001 requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Office • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken formatPersonal attributes:• Good planner and organizer • Attention to detail • Integrity and trustworthy About Us
