Housekeeper, Florence Villa

Description Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supports resident comfort, safety, and infection control standards within the senior living community. Essential Duties&Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and service areas according to established schedules Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces using approved cleaning products Properly handle and dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and soiled linens Launder, fold, and distribute linens as assigned Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer Follow infection control, OSHA, and community safety guidelines Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply needs promptly Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and team members Support special cleaning projects and community events as needed Qualifications Required Qualifications Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience (senior living, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality preferred) Knowledge of infection prevention or healthcare sanitation standards Experience working with elderly residents or in a service‑oriented environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35–50 pounds Ability to push cleaning carts and operate housekeeping equipment Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Core Values&Expectations Demonstrates compassion, patience, and respect for residents Maintains resident privacy and confidentiality at all times Upholds community standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism Work Environment Indoor residential and common areas Exposure to cleaning chemicals and bodily fluids (with proper PPE provided)
