Position Overview:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth in containers, modular structures, and related products. This role will focus on outbound prospecting, inbound inquiry conversion, account development, and customer relationship management. The individual will collaborate with internal teams and customers to provide tailored solutions and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for containers, modular structures, and value-added products.
Allocate time efficiently between outbound prospecting (40%), inbound inquiry conversion (30%), and account development/customer visits.
Identify and prioritize potential customers, industries, and market segments for business development.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline and focus on converting leads into successful sales.
Pursue a high volume of projects and transactional opportunities, offering turnkey solutions and value-added products.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and exceptional service.
Understand customer needs, provide product recommendations, and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
Collaborate with customers to create tailored solutions that meet their specific container and modular structure requirements.
Use CRM tools to track performance and manage customer relationships effectively.
Market Research and Analysis:
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities within the assigned territory.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities and differentiators.
Provide feedback to the management team on market insights and customer feedback.
Quoting and Pricing:
Employ a consultative selling approach to maximize pricing and lease rates where appropriate.
Prepare accurate, competitive price quotes for potential customers.
Negotiate sales agreements to ensure mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.
Sales Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts in the CRM system.
Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity for management review.
Meet daily/weekly expectations for leading indicators to achieve sales targets.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, customer support) to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
Provide support to colleagues to help achieve common sales objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, or applicable experience.
1 year of outbound prospecting experience or 1 year in a similar role.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and virtual meeting tools.
Willingness and ability to travel 10%-20% for field visits with key customers.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in sales within modular structures or related industries.
Familiarity with CRM software, especially for tracking sales activities and customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
