Amp;V) Analyst - Hybrid, Michigan

Job Description:

As an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Analyst, you will provide independent assurance services, assess project health, review key deliverables, identify risks, and support proactive risk mitigation at both the project and portfolio levels to ensure successful and fiscally responsible project delivery. This role is critical in overseeing high-visibility, complex IT projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct IV&V activities on assigned projects to independently assess project health and compliance with Client standards

Review project documentation such as charters, plans, schedules, risk registers, and contracts for completeness and quality

Evaluate project deliverables for alignment with requirements and adherence to quality standards

Monitor project performance metrics including scope, schedule, budget, and quality

Identify and escalate risks and issues early, recommending mitigation strategies

Produce IV&V service plans, monthly health reports, deliverable assessments, risk logs, and final summary reports

Prepare and deliver executive briefings for steering committees and leadership as needed

Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders while maintaining objectivity and independence

Ensure all IV&V documentation meets Client reporting and quality standards

 

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Minimum of 5 years IT project management experience, preferably on large and complex technology initiatives

Minimum of 5 years of experience providing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) or similar quality assurance services

Strong experience in high-visibility, public sector, or highly regulated project environments

Deep understanding of PMI PMBOK, risk management frameworks, and QA best practices

Exceptional verbal, written, and analytical communication skills

Ability to develop professional-level reports and briefings with clear, actionable recommendations

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (required)

 

Preferred Skills:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

Experience with politically sensitive or executive-level technology programs

 

 

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $90.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
