System Analyst - Hybrid, Michigan

Job Description:

As a System Analyst, you will provide technical support for various COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) applications used by the Management and Budget division of the Client. This role involves system administration duties, requirement gathering, application analysis, infrastructure security, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will install and configure application components on Windows and Linux environments, evaluate system options, recommend improvements, and maintain secure, high-performance solutions aligned with federal and state standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure systems and application components in Windows Server and RHEL environments

Gather and document business and technical requirements

Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements for ongoing enhancements and new initiatives

Provide technical support for COTS and SaaS applications

Implement security best practices for applications and infrastructure

Collaborate with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams

Maintain accurate architecture and infrastructure documentation using tools like Visio

Diagnose and remediate application/server vulnerabilities

Support configuration and deployment of systems in Azure and other cloud environments

 

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience installing and configuring systems and application components on Windows and Linux

Proven ability to gather requirements, research, analyze, and recommend technical solutions

Hands-on experience with tools/technologies including: Windows Server (2016+), RHEL 7+, Tomcat, IIS; Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); MS SQL Management Studio, Dynatrace or similar debug tools; XML, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Visio; SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID); LAN/WAN networking, architecture, firewalls, and IoT environments

Strong analytical skills for infrastructure troubleshooting and vulnerability remediation

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience configuring applications in Azure cloud infrastructure

Proficiency in Azure services, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code (IAC)

Bachelor's degree in a related field required

 

 

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
