Discount Tire Part-Time Administrative Assistant I
Pay Range: $20-$22 Location: 2105 University Park Drive Okemos, MI 48864 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as first point of contact for internal and external customers Answers and screens incoming calls Greets scheduled visitors Opens and routes incoming mail and correspondence and prepares outgoing mail Composes, analyzes, and distributes correspondence, memorandums, spreadsheets, and other documents as requestedCoordinates logistics for meetings Files employee documents into system of record Maintains office supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needs, and placing orders Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, calling for repairs and maintaining equipment inventoryMaintains solid customer and store employee relationships by handling questions and concerns with professionalism Represents Company values professionally in the community and at public gatherings Delivers high quality work, effectively and efficiently; displays broad understanding of Company CultureCompletes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of recent administrative experience in an office environment is preferred. Basic level computer experience, including Microsoft Office 365, is necessary Excellent communication, organizational, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills are required The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently is essentialCustomer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude are essential Ability to quickly build relationships across the organization is crucial Troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essentialThe ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties is crucial Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key Educational Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Additional college level administrative, computer or business-related classes are beneficial. Work Hours: Flexible schedule within office hours, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. 24-30 hours a week. Physical Requirements: Repetitive Movements - A substantial amount of simple and firm grasping, fine manipulating, handwriting and computer keyboard/mouse usage is required.
