What You Will Do Account for power consumption in a datacenter Account for cooling load in a datacenter Ability to work with HVAC and Electrical facilities personnel on site Configure, manage and maintain the physical and virtual infrastructure.Perform required maintenance operations of several VMware virtual infrastructure in accordance with established schedules and best practices. May require off hour support Implement and maintain ESXi, VM, and vCenter DISA STIGs Install, configure and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.Performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure. Build highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment. Build and configuring virtual networks. Document, test and implement virtual services and devices. Assess and evaluate current virtual computing infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhancements.Create and maintain VM templates used for rapid deployment of virtual machines. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures. Create and defend system change requests. Manage user requests for assistance, application installation and upgrades. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of secure computer systems, network servers, and switches.Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues. Create documentation of all work performed to capture configuration and installation procedures. Support security staff in compliance and vulnerability audits of computer systems, implementing security remediation, and during accreditation events.Qualifications You Must Have A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems. Good interpersonal and communication skills with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well independently under limited oversight, be self-directed and able to prioritize work.Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance with SCI eligibility is required prior to start date. Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP preferred). Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.What We Offer Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
