Laborers with Cando are responsible for performing the safe and efficient loading, unloading and securement of product to railcars. Working in a customer-oriented environment, the Laborer must work well in teams to maximize efficiency while demonstrating a strong initiative and safety focus.

Roles&Responsibilities

Operate or move equipment around the yard and shop. Help maintain inventory of supplies and/or shop equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Flexibility and ability to work on various shop, maintenance, and yard tasks. Perform job safety analyses (JSA's) and safety meetings. Attend communication meetings and safety training as scheduled.Skills, Knowledge,&Abilities

Prioritize and perform multiple tasks with the ability to meet daily demands and function in busy situations. Ability to operate and perform daily maintenance checks on required machinery. Medically fit to work in a safety sensitive environment; physically fit including the ability to pull self-up and down from heavy equipment.Ability to work outside in all weather conditions on a site and some evening and weekends shift may be needed. Demonstrate initiative to work with others to foster a respectful workplace. Able to accept new challenges and responsibilities as they arise. Education&Experience

High School or GED. Read, write, speak and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Flexibility and ability to work on various shop, maintenance, and yard tasks. Environmental awareness. Visual Thread Inspection certification a plus.
