Description
We are seeking an experiencedIMAGING SERVICE ENGINEER 2to join our team inEAST MEADOW, NY. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating basic diagnostic imaging equipment and systems. This role includes regular interaction with clinical health professionals to identify and resolve technology-related issues that impact patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and calibration of diagnostic imaging and/or therapeutic radiation equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards for medical equipment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to imaging equipment, particularlyMRI/CT AND CATHLABsystems.
* Document all maintenance activities, service reports, and regulatory records accurately.
* Maintain equipment uptime and reliability, minimizing disruption to patient care services.
* Mentor and support junior staff in developing technical capabilities.
* Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to urgent service needs.
* Assist in budget control through effective management of parts and services purchases.
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols in all repair and maintenance activities.
* Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to understand and address equipment-related concerns.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* EDUCATION:Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline OR equivalent experience.
* EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCEin imaging equipment repair and maintenance in a healthcare environment.
* Proven expertise inMRI/CT AND CATHLABsystems.
* Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
* Strong decision-making skills in troubleshooting and equipment repair.
* Excellent communication, customer service, and time management abilities.
* Willingness and availability to be part of an on-call rotation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Hands-on experience withHOLOGICimaging devices.
* Familiarity with a range of diagnostic imaging modalities.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, The Joint Commission).
