Job Description Well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Engineer to support ongoing production and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will focus on ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and driving process improvements across the production lifecycle.
Position Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring product quality, conducting inspections, and implementing quality assurance measures. This individual will work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and operations teams to identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in manufacturing and quality systems, with a detail-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quality standards and inspection guidelines Perform internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards Monitor production processes and conduct testing to identify defects early Inspect materials and electronic components (including PCB assemblies) for quality and durabilityAnalyze defects and implement root cause and corrective action (RCCA) processes Prepare reports on quality issues and corrective actions Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality documentation Partner with cross-functional teams to improve overall product quality and customer satisfactionQualifications
Experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation Hands-on experience with RCCA methodologies Familiarity with IPC-610 and J-STD standards (electronics manufacturing preferred)Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Relevant experience may be considered in place of degree)Nice to Have
Quality certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma, etc.) Equal Opportunity
