The Business Intelligence ETL Developer reviews, develops robust Business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions using appropriate BI technologies. The ETL Engineer demonstrates strong communications skills, aptitude for working with the business, and propensity to lean new technology. Participates in requirements gathering and research, proposes technology solutions, and develops solutions within agreed upon timelines. analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs for new or existing systems in accordance with project plans and specifications. The ETL Engineer is responsible for delivering quality customer service, as well as, incorporating and adhering to requirements defined by Concentra technology standards. The ETL Engineer is responsible for providing accurate and timely completion of technical development and support tasks in accordance with Information Systems standards and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Administer database systems technical design, performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, data and file distribution, reporting, database upgrades, integrations, migrations, and conversions
Evaluate, design, and maintain multiple database environments; identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams, and document the process; write codes for database access, modifications and constructions including stored procedures and database server configuration
Design, implement, and support data warehousing – implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies; define user interfaces and functional specifications
Responsible for verifying accuracy of data in data extracts and data warehouse
Monitor system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues
Resolve database performance issues by looking at query plans, create appropriate indexes, resolve dead locks, and create table hints
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in reports, dashboards, and ETL packages
Responsible for any Help Desk tickets relating to Development issues
Work with end users and other Information Services staff to develop criteria for specific phases of assigned projects, and ensure proper testing of all developed solutions
Participate in the design and development of database schemas.
Participate in the development of medium-size software applications with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Major: Computer Engineering, Computer Science
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable: Yes
Minimum 5 years' experience as an ETL developer with proven track record of successful project implementation
Minimum of 6 years' experience in reports and data warehouse development
Software development experience on Microsoft BI Platform – SSIS, SSRS, MS SQL Server and Data Factory
DB Development using MS SQL
Experience supporting a Data Warehouse environment
Large scale multi-site IS operations experience
Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience with designing efficient and scalable data models
