Data Consultant, Lewisville

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Addison, TX, and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with various enterprise level and local data management, governance, and data quality teams as well as technology teams

Contribute to efforts to capture and manage the data dictionaries/catalogue, data lineage, and all forms of business, technical and operational metadata within the Metadata Repository

Support data quality issue tracking and resolution activities

Assist in providing data governance guidance and support for business process and control owners

Act as the delegate for ensuring application owners are in adherence with records management policy

Identify, research, and determine root cause for data quality errors to include scope and complexity of the issue, and make recommendations for long-term solutions

Work closely with data owners in the identification and documentation of business and technical metadata

Ensure quality and integrity of metadata

Requirements:

Strong technical and analytical skills, as well as hands-on experience with metadata management platforms

Pro-active and be able to drive direction of work that needs to be completed, based on assigned tasks

Work independently on initiatives with little oversight

Motivated and willing to learn

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and dive into details

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal skills are needed to gain cooperation from various stakeholders

Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking

Able to work with Technical and Non-Technical business owners

Pay Range: $33.25 - $41.25
