This is a 4-months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Specimen Technician
Location: Lewisville, TX *****
Shift Schedule:
1. Tuesday – Saturday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM or
2. Tuesday – Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM CST or
3. Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM CST
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $*****/hour (Based on years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform specimen processing functions including:
A-station processing
Presorting
Centrifugation
Aliquoting
Imaging/microfilming
Specimen pickup and delivery to laboratory areas
Enter data accurately (minimum 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour)
Maintain specimen integrity and follow all compliance regulations
Learn and understand specimen types and corresponding tests
Adhere to productivity, quality, and departmental completion standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow biohazard safety protocols and company safety guidelines
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing daily workflows
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Previous laboratory or specimen processing experience
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
