Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

A leading publicly traded manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a strategic and highly analytical FP&A Manager to join its finance leadership team.
This is a newly created, high-visibility role designed as part of the long-term succession plan for senior finance leadership.
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this position offers significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to influence key business decisions across a large, complex operation.
This role will initially be an individual contributor position focused on driving financial planning, forecasting, operational analysis, and strategic decision support for a major business division within a global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment analysis, and scenario planning
Partner closely with operational and executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights that drive profitability and business performance
Analyze financial results against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance; identify key risks, trends, and opportunities
Support monthly and quarterly close activities through variance analysis and collaboration with accounting teams
Drive FP&A process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhanced reporting capabilities to improve scalability and efficiency
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
Collaborate across international teams and support finance initiatives within a global business environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred
10+ years of progressive finance experience with a strong foundation in FP&A and business partnering
Strong background in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting and standard costing
Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools, including Oracle Planning Cloud/EPM or similar platforms
Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI
Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven analysis and strong communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
