We are a software company looking for a bright and driven Web Developer who is talented in both design and development.


Our company develops and sells high-end professional design software – specifically, add-on programs for AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit – to landscape architects, irrigation designers, architects, and engineers. We started as a father-son duo working out of a garage and now have the best-in-class software used by thousands of professionals in dozens of countries, served by a growing staff of more than 40 employees.

We have listened to our employees following the pandemic, and all positions are permanently remote. We currently have staff scattered across twelve states, and have made permanent work-from-home status excel as we continue to create excellent software and offer unparalleled support.

Requirements

Proficiency in Javascript and CSS.
Experience with PHP, jQuery, and Linux command line prompts is a plus.
Knowledge of standard git practices.
Ability to write maintainable, understandable code.
Proficiency in design and layout.
Experience using Adobe Suite tools or Figma.
Ability to articulate reasoning for UI/UX choices.
Ability to advocate for system architecture choices.
Website development experience with a CMS like WordPress or Joomla.
Ability to critically assess AI-based solutions.
Applicants must be collaborative, organized, self-directed, and reliable.
Applicants must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Update and maintain the company website in Joomla.
Work on a large legacy PHP codebase and fix issues that occur daily.
Develop frontend improvements with Javascript.
Maintain email code and design.
Manage branding consistency in all designs.
Design and advocate for better user experiences.
Ensure ADA compliance.

Benefits And Other Position Information

Position Type: Full-time.
This position offers a starting salary between $75,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
Along with a competitive salary, Land F/X offers 401(k), dental, medical, life, and vision insurance, as well as vacation, sick, and holiday paid time off, in addition to a yearly bonus for qualifying full-time employees. Land F/X employees also have the added benefit of working from home, and team members work shorter days on Fridays.
