Job Description Job Description Description We're looking for a Transportation Planning/Traffic Engineer in Training (EIT) in Lexington, KY to support transportation planning studies and be involved in client engagement from day one.

Key Responsibilities Work under the supervision of senior planners and engineers to assist in the development of transportation planning studies, corridor studies, and multimodal planning initiatives.
Support data collection, technical analysis, and the preparation of planning and traffic engineering documents and reports.
Assist with GIS mapping, travel demand modeling, and forecasting efforts.
Prepare presentation materials for public meetings, stakeholder outreach, and client briefings.
Coordinate with clients, MPOs, DOTs, local agencies, and other stakeholders.
Help develop project scopes, schedules, and deliverables in support of planning efforts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience with transportation planning tools and software (e.g., HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, TransCAD, or similar) is a plus.
Experience with ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping is also considered a plus.
EIT Certification is preferred.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite).
Ability to thrive in multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing for reports and public-facing documents.
