Director Maintenance
Position Type Fleet Job Shift 8hr Travel Percentage More than 50% Category D1 Coverage Areas: CT, KY, MA, MD, MI, NJ, OH, PA, VA Position Summary
This position is responsible for all maintenance functions across business units as well as the ability to integrate systems, procedures and shared use of personnel resources across business units. Essential Functions
Management of the maintenance operations of a Class 8 vehicle fleet. Knowledge and understanding for total cost of ownership of rolling assets utilizing asset management software. Implementation of TMC recommended maintenance&engineering practices. Manage, motivate, and coach direct reports Indirect management of multiple shop locations utilizing the skills of the regional maintenance managers to execute daily job functions. Provide detailed reporting necessary in evaluating vehicle replacement vs. repair cycles. Qualifications
Recent (within the last five years), experience in managing the maintenance operations of a Class 8 vehicle fleet. 5 years of experience required. Knowledge and understanding for total cost of ownership of rolling assets utilizing asset management software. Knowledge and adoption of TMC recommended maintenance&engineering practices. Ability to self-motivate and effectively manage multiple direct reports. Indirect management of multiple shop locations utilizing the skills of the regional maintenance managers to execute daily job functions. Proficient use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Provide detailed reporting necessary in evaluating vehicle replacement vs. repair cycles.
