Courier/Sample Collector
EMSL is seeking a Courier/Sample Collector in Carle Place, NY.
This is a customer service focused position and involves picking up and dropping off samples throughout the tri-state area.
Essential duties and responsibilities include receiving and transporting time sensitive samples and updating Chain of Custody documentation according to laboratory protocols.
Packing and storing samples to maintain sample integrity, driving for various lengths of time in and around NYC and NJ, maintaining driving log, responsible for company vehicle maintenance and service, and assisting with basic office and laboratory cleaning when needed.
Evening and weekend work may be required as needed.
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, authorization to work in the United States indefinitely and without restriction or sponsorship, 1 to 2 years' experience as Courier or professional driver, able to drive throughout tri-state area including New York City and other surrounding areas, valid driver's license and clean driving record, comfortable using and following GPS navigation, able to lift minimum of 40lbs.
Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance, strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external clients.
