Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join a prestigious firm and their Mass Tort and Environmental team. This role involves handling complex, high-impact litigation, including large-scale tort claims, regulatory matters, and multi-party actions, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. They must also be an analytical thinker and collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure litigation environment. Job Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of mass tort and environmental litigation matters from inception through resolutionConduct legal research and factual investigation related to environmental exposure and liability issues. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation Collaborate with partners, associates, experts, and support staffCommunicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel Applicant Requirements: 3-10 years of litigation experience in mass torts, environmental law, toxic torts, or complex civil litigation Active license and in good standing with the State Bar of California Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExperience managing discovery and motion practice Effective time-management and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-based practice Compensation: Salary: $300,000 - $500,000 based on experience Bonus: Performance-basedReferral Incentives Relocation Bonus Benefits: 401k Profit Sharing Health Insurance (80% employer paid premium) Dental Insurance (80% employer paid premium) Vision Insurance Life Insurance Supplemental Insurance Plans through MetLife Paid Sick Leave
