We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Lead Fiber Splicing Technician

to support expanding fiber infrastructure projects across Colorado. This role will travel throughout the region, covering areas from Cheyenne to Colorado Springs and eastward. The ideal candidate will have strong fusion splicing experience, troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to lead field operations while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.Location:

$25–$35/hour Company vehicle provided All tools, splicer equipment, and PPE provided Four-day work week 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Gap insurance PTO accrued weekly Company-paid health premium progression KeyResponsibilitiesOperational Execution Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting activities Prepare and splice cables within a variety of enclosures and panels Conduct emergency restoration and outage response as needed Maintain organized documentation and test results Fiber Splicing&Cable Preparation Perform fusion and ribbon splicing on multiple cable types including: Micro Traditional Armored Ribbon Flat drop fiber

Execute mid-entry/ring-cut procedures accurately Manage cable slack and eliminate potential fault points Work with PLP, CommScope, Corning, AFL, Lynn, and Multilink equipment preferred Testing&Troubleshooting Conduct Bidi, Uni, bare fiber, and power meter testing Analyze OTDR results and customer specifications Diagnose faults within panels and enclosures Organize and maintain test documentation Team&Customer Communication Provide clear project updates to customers and internal teams Support and mentor apprentice technicians Maintain professionalism on job sites Escalate concerns to Foremen or Project Managers when appropriate Qualifications Experience with fusion fiber splicing requiredOTDR experience preferred Experience with ribbon fiber preferred Ability to troubleshoot fiber networks and fault points Clean driving record required Ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions Strong communication and leadership skills
