ABOUT THE ROLE : JFT is growing and hiring Machinists at multiple skill levels in Loveland, CO. All applicants are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their experience level. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with an anticipated posting close date of 7/31/26.

Level I:

0-2 years of experience:

$22.00-25.00 per hour

Basic CNC Controls, G-code, Blueprint Reading, Mechanical Aptitude

Level II: 3-5 years of experience:

$26.00-33.00 per hour

Haas / Mastercam Proficiency, GD&T Interpretation, Troubleshooting, Fixture Assistance

Level III:

6-10 years of experience:

$34.00-42.00 per hour

Advanced Mastercam Programming, Multi-Axis Machining, Advanced GD&T, Precision Measurement, Lean / CI, Problem Solving

Level IV: 10+ years of experience:

$45.00-55.00 per hour

Mastery Multi-Axis Machining, Advanced Mastercam, GD&T, Blueprint Reading, Leadership, Project Management, Process Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform complete setups and operations on Haas CNC mills and lathes

Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement instruments

Maintain accurate work order documentation and quality records

Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Ability to learn and progress to the next level within reasonable timelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with CNC setup and operation

Software: Mastercam proficiency - editing and verifying programs very helpful

Equipment: Haas CNC experience - mills, lathes, or both

Technical: Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T

Detailed requirements per level discussed at interview

REPORTING TO:

Shop Foreman

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Strength and Stamina: The job may involve lifting and moving parts or materials, typically up to 50lbs. The ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) is required.

Manual Dexterity: Precise hand movements are necessary for handling tools, making adjustments to machines and operating a computer.

Visual Acuity: Good eyesight, including close vision and depth perception, is important for detailed work and inspecting finished parts.

Mobility: Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching is required, along with the ability to maneuver around machinery and equipment.

Coordination: The role requires good hand-eye coordination to operate machines safely and effectively.

Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Machine and fabrication shop environment around equipment such as water jet tables, lathes, milling machines and press brakes. Welding operations are often taking place nearby. This job requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
