Sanford and Tatum a division of Heritage Risk Management, an Alera Group LLC, is looking to add a Commercial Lines Account Manager to our team!

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager at Sanford and Tatum, you will play a vital role in supporting our producers in the handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines business. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier customer service to clients, as assigned and upon request.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze and review underwriting information, loss history and any other information needed to renew, propose, and / or quote insurance policies. Respond to additional information needed by carriers in a timely fashion.
Manage assigned book of business by focusing on and maximizing client retention while also identifying and pursuing cross-sale opportunities using effective consultative selling skills.
Responsible for overall client strategy; assess client exposures and existing coverages; identify, develop, and recommend insurance products based on client’s needs.
Provide excellent customer service by timely responding to any client requests such as coverage questions, renewal status, certificates of insurance, automobile insurance cards, endorsement requests, and billing questions.
Invoice and process all policies, endorsements, and audits.
Work with existing clients to enhance and grow relationships. Refer client to other Alera Group resources where applicable (personal lines, employee benefits, etc.)
Ensure complete and accurate data and documentation is maintained in all applicable agency management systems.
Follow all prescribed processes, procedures, standards and workflows.
Assist clients with claims advocacy as needed.
Assist with mentoring and training of other Alera Group associates while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment built on trust, open communications, creative thinking and cohesive teamwork.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years experience in similar position is desirable.
Must be licensed in Property & Casualty (P&C) per state requirements.
Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills both verbal and written.
Should have thorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages.
Working knowledge of Windows based computer and Office Suite.
